Schiedel provide chimney systems for both internal and external chimney breasts. In the case of the internal the chimney is always within the walls of the house and the chimney breast is in the room.

For the external the chimney is taken to the outside of the house and the fire opening is flush with the internal wall. This saves space in the room.
